Modernization and modification services
Modernization is a cost-effective way to boost performance and usability while extending service life.
We upgrade special-purpose platforms, vehicles, and mobile systems to meet today’s and tomorrow’s functional and technical requirements – across both Conlog and third-party products.
Armored vehicle modifications
Modernization improves the performance, usability, and service life of armored platforms already in use. Typical upgrades combine new sights and sensors, renew communications, manage signatures, and refresh safety and environmental systems. So, crews can operate effectively in today’s networked, sensor-rich battlefield—in day, night, and adverse conditions.
What the modernization includes
Sensing and crew vision
Thermal and low‑light sights for the commander, gunner, and driver improve detection and identification in darkness and poor visibility. Additional driver aids at the front and rear support maneuvering when space and visibility are limited.
Communications and command
Legacy intercoms and radios are replaced, and the vehicle receives interfaces for modern C2 systems. The goal is reliable voice and data exchange with other platforms and nodes in the wider network.
Signature management and protection
A multi‑spectral camouflage solution reduces visual and thermal signatures. This helps limit aerial and on‑ground observability, including against thermal imaging devices, and supports survivability across seasons and climates.
Power, safety, and environment
Electrical systems and monitoring are updated where needed. Interior heating and lighting are reviewed and modernized to support crew comfort, safety, and continuous operations.
Structure and integration
Mounts, cabling, and interfaces are engineered to accommodate new equipment with minimal intrusion. Minor changes to exterior dimensions can occur as part of the installation work.
Mobile communications shelter modernization
We modernize field-deployable communications shelters, so they remain reliable parts of the core or access network, interoperating with adjacent stations and systems while meeting today’s operational demands. The upgrade focuses on renewing communications capability, improving crew usability, and restoring condition for long, continuous missions in varied climates. Modernization extends service life, reduces obsolescence, and improves readiness without changing the shelter’s core mission or deployment concept.
What the modernization includes
Communications suite renewal
We replace legacy radio and data-link equipment and associated components as a complete package. Modernization typically covers the mast system and antennas along with the radios and interface devices required to connect the shelter into the wider network. The goal is dependable voice and data exchange with other stations and command systems.
Power and environmental systems
We perform operational inspections on the generator, ventilation, heating, and dehumidification systems and refurbish or replace components where needed to restore performance and reduce downtime. Cabling, protection, and controls are reviewed as part of the same work scope.
Lighting and controls
Exterior hatch lighting and the interior dual-lighting concept are redesigned for safer access and better task lighting in the equipment area, supporting maintenance and operations during darkness and low-visibility conditions.
Crew workspace and ergonomics
Where applicable, the operator area is refreshed to ensure a functional work environment with heating and air conditioning, equipment racks, and clear workflows for multi-operator use.
Structure, protection, and mobility
We inspect and service the shelter structure and mounts, and when required maintain features such as ballistic protection and shielding against CBRN/NBC and EMP effects. The shelter remains transportable and suitable for field deployment and truck carriage as designed.
